교수소개
유기반응 개발, 의약합성 및 천연물 전합성에 관한 연구를 하고 있다. 2012년 미국 듀크대학교 (Duke University) 화학과에서 항암제, 항생제 등 흥미로운 생리활성 기능을 가지고 있는 천연물의 전합성 연구로 박사학위를 취득하였다. 이후 미국 스크립스 (Scripps Research) 연구소에서 박사후 연구원으로 재직하였으며 2015년 9월부터 가톨릭대학교 화학과에서 유기합성 연구실을 운영해 오고 있다.
Kiyoun's research interests include organic reaction development, pharmaceutical synthesis, and the total synthesis of natural products. He received his Ph.D. in 2012 from Duke Univ. Department of Chemistry, USA, focusing on the total synthesis of natural products with interesting biological functions, such as anticancer drugs and antibiotics. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Scripps Research Institute in the USA before becoming the principal investigator of the organic synthesis laboratory at The Catholic University of Korea in September 2015.
