한동훈 교수는 가톨릭대학교 화학과 조교수이다. 제주대학교 자연과학대학 화학과에서 학사(2007년)학위를 받았으며, 서울대학교 자연과학대학 화학부에서 석사(2009년), 박사(2014년)학위를 받았다. 이후 미국 노터데임 대학교(University of Notre Dame)에서 박사후 연구원으로 근무하였다. 2018년부터 가톨릭대학교 화학과에서 근무하고 있다. 주요 연구 관심사는 분석화학, 전기화학 및 분광전기화학 분야를 바탕으로 초고감도 전기화학 센서 개발과 실시간(오퍼란도) 분석을 통한 전기화학 계면에서의 반응 메커니즘 규명 및 이미징, 그리고 나노 구조체를 제작 및 활용하여 새로운 전기화학적 물질 전달 현상에 대해 연구하고 있다. 한국전기화학회(KECS) 국제협력위원회 이사(2022~2023년) 및 대한화학회(KCS) 분석화학분과 기획간사(2020년), 학술간사(2021~2022년)와 대한화학회 전기화학분과 홍보간사(2019~2020년), 학술간사(2022~2023년)를 역임하였다. 현재 한국전기화학회 국문지편집위원회 이사 및 대한화학회 전기화학분과 재무간사로 활동하고 있다. 
Donghoon Han is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at The Catholic University of Korea. He received the B.S.(2007) in Chemistry from Jeju National University, and the Ph.D.(2014) in Chemistry from Seoul National University. He worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Notre Dame, USA. In 2018, he joined the faculty at The Catholic University of Korea. His research interests include: the development of ultra-sensitive electrochemical sensors, in-situ(operando) analysis and correlated imaging for understanding of molecular dynamics at electrochemical interfaces, and novel electrochemical mass transfer phenomena by fabricating and utilizing nanostructures. He has served as a member of the international cooperation committee of the Korean Electrochemical Society(KECS) (2022-2023), and as a planning secretary(2020) and academic secretary(2021-2022) of the analytical chemistry division of the Korean Chemical Society(KCS), and as a public relations secretary(2019-2020) and academic secretary(2022-2023) of the Electrochemistry division of the KCS. He is currently serving as a member of the publications committee for JKES of the KECS and a financial secretary of the KCS Electrochemistry Division.
