유기반응 개발, 의약합성 및 천연물 전합성에 관한 연구를 하고 있다. 2012년 미국 듀크대학교 (Duke University) 화학과에서 항암제, 항생제 등 흥미로운 생리활성 기능을 가지고 있는 천연물의 전합성 연구로 박사학위를 취득하였다. 이후 미국 스크립스 (Scripps Research) 연구소에서 박사후 연구원으로 재직하였으며 2015년 9월부터 가톨릭대학교 화학과에서 유기합성 연구실을 운영해 오고 있다. 

Kiyoun's research interests include organic reaction development, pharmaceutical synthesis, and the total synthesis of natural products. He received his Ph.D. in 2012 from Duke Univ. Department of Chemistry, USA, focusing on the total synthesis of natural products with interesting biological functions, such as anticancer drugs and antibiotics. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Scripps Research Institute in the USA before becoming the principal investigator of the organic synthesis laboratory at The Catholic University of Korea in September 2015. 

영화, 게임, 메타버스, 공연, 웹툰, 웹소설 등 문화콘텐츠와 스토리텔링 연구자이자 기획자. 미디어가 진화하면서 변화하고 있는 스토리텔링 기술에 주목하여 그 속에서 인문학적 가치를 찾는 연구와 교육, 그리고 창작활동을 지속하고 있다. 최근에는 허구적 스토리를 통해 현실의 문제를 해결하는 스토리 액티비즘에 관심을 가지고 연구하고 있다. 대표적인 저서로는 <스토리 유니버스>, <나는 게임한다 고로 존재한다>, <메타버스에선 무슨 일이 일어날까>, <K-스토리텔링(공저)>, <트랜스미디어 스토리텔링의 이해(공저)> 등이 있다.  인문콘텐츠학회, 한국게임학회, 글로벌문화콘텐츠학회 등의 이사를 맡고 있다. 

A researcher and organizer of cultural contents and storytelling, including movies, games, metaverses, performances, webtoons, and web novels. I have been conducting research, education, and creative activities that focus on the changing storytelling technologies as media evolves and find humanistic values in them. Recently, I have been researching story activism, which uses fictional stories to solve real-world problems. Books include <Story Universe>, <I Exist by Playing Games>, <What Happens in the Metaverse>, <K-Storytelling (co-author)>, and <Understanding Transmedia Storytelling (co-author)>. 

서울대학교 경영학과를 졸업하고 동 대학원에서 국제경영/경영전략 전공으로 경영학 석사 및 박사 학위를 취득했다. 미국 듀크대학교 경영대학원 방문 교수로 연구를 수행했고, 한국전략경영학회, 한국국제경영학회 등에서 활동했으며, 전략경영연구 편집위원장을 역임했다. 비즈니스 모델, 플랫폼, 생태계 전략, 후발기업 전략, 신흥 강소기업 등의 연구주제 뿐만 아니라, 경영학의 다양한 지식들을 기업 및 여타 조직으로 확신시키는 작업에 관심을 갖고 있다. 

He graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University. He received his master's and doctoral degrees in international management/business strategy from the same university. He has conducted research as a visiting scholar at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He has worked at the Korean Society of Strategic Management, the Korean Academy of International Business, and served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Strategic Management. He is interested in the work of persuading firms and other organizations of various management insights, in addition to research topics such as business models, platforms, ecosystems, latecomer strategies, and emerging multinationals.

이민 교수는 가톨릭대학교 공간디자인.소비자학과에 재직하며 RISE 사업단의 지역혁신센터장을 맡고 있다. 국민대학교 조형대학 실내디자인학과 학사, 테크노디자인전문대학원 스페이스건축학과 실내디자인전공 석사를 받았다.  중국 칭화대학교(Tsinghua University)에서 환경예술설계학과 1호 한국인 유학생으로 중국정부장학금(CSC)수혜를 받으며 쩡슈양(Zheng, ShuYang) 교수 지도로 박사학위를 받았다. 2013년부터 국민대학교 조형대학 공간디자인학과와 테크노디자인전문대학원 문화디자인랩 교수로 근무하면서 중국인문사회연구소(HK연구소), 커뮤니티상생센터 위원으로 활동한 바 있다. 문화와 교육 기반의 공간디자인기획과 공간콘텐츠 개발, 지역 및 커뮤니티 문화 요소 개발, 공간디자인 교육을 주된 분야로 삼아, 연구와 실무에 참여하고 있다. 국립현대미술관 운영자문위원, 문체부 어린이청소년도서관 총괄계획가, 대한민국역사박물관 저널편집위원, 고양시 국제꽃박람회 기술자문위원, 논산시 성과평가위원회 위원 등을 역임한 바 있으며, 국립중앙도서관 추천 국가우수강사로서 전국 도서관 관련 인력 교육에도 참여하였다. 현재  국립중앙도서관 운영위원회 위원, 국가문헌기록관 건립기술자문위원, (사)한국실내디자인학회 논문편집위원 및 전시공간위원회 이사, (사)한국문화공간건축학회 실행이사, (사)대한전시디자인학회 이사로 활동하고 있다. 

Assistant Professor, Department of Spatial Design & Consumer Studies,  Catholic University of Korea (CUK). She received Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Interior Design from Kookmin Univ.  She later pursued doctoral studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing as a Korean student supported by a Chinese Government Scholarship. Since 2013, she has served as professor at the Cultural Design Lab and Dep. of Spatial Design in Kookmin University. Her primary fields of research and practice include cultural and education-based spatial design planning, spatial content development, the cultivation of regional and community cultural resources, and spatial design education. She has previously served as a member of the Planning Committee of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA); General director for children’s and youth libraries; Editorial committee member of the Journal of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History; Technical advisory committee member for the International Flower Fair. Currently, she is a member of the National Library Steering Committee; technical advisory committee member of the National Archives of Korea; director and  editorial board member of the Korean institute of Interior Design; director of the Korean Association for Cultural Space Construction; and director of the Korean Exhibition Design Association.
