박용일 교수는 미국 플로리다대학교(University of Florida)의 Microbiology and Cell Science학과에서 박사학위(Ph.D.), 1997년부터 Johns Hopkins University에서 박사후연구원(Post-doc) 및 선임연구원(Associate Research Scientist), 1999년부터 한국생명공학연구원(KRIBB) 객원선임연구원 근무, 2002년부터 가톨릭대학교 생명공학과에서 조교수, 부교수, 정교수로 근무하면서 학과장, LINC 사업단 부단장, 경기도 GRRC 센터(생체의약선도분자연구센터) 센터장 등 역임. 2020년부터 의생명과학과 학과장, 가톨릭대학교 성심 연구처장과 산학협력단장(2023-2024), 한국연구재단 BK21-FOUR 사업단장 역임하였음. 연구 관심사는 주로 비만, 당뇨, 암, 골다공증 등 대사성질환과 면역, 항산화, 피부노화, 염증성장질환(IBD) 등에 대한 천연물 생화학 기반 신규 치료제 및 건강기능성 소재 개발 분야임. SCIE 국제학술지 110여편, KCI 국내학술지 40여편, 70여건의 특허 출원 또는 등록하였고, 체코 프라하 소재 대학, 슬로바키아 과학기술원 연구진 등과 국제공동연구를 활발히 수행하고 있으며, 한국당과학회 회장, 아시아 당과학회 운영위원, 한국균학회 부회장, 이사 및 감사로 활동하였으며, 현재 한국신약개발연구조합의 자문교수로 활동 중임. 

Prof. Park earned his Ph.D. in 1996 from the Dept. of Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida. He continued his research experience as a Post-doc and Associate Research Scientist at the Johns Hopkins University during 1997~1999 and the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) as a visiting senior researcher during 1999~2001. He started his professorship at the Dept. of Biotechnology, The Catholic University of Korea from 2002. Since 2020, he has been a full professor of the Dept. of Medical and Biological Sciences and served as the President of CUK Songsim Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and Songsim Office of Research Affairs. His research has focused mainly on the development of natural compound biochemistry-based therapeutics and health beneficial functional biomaterials for metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cancer, with the publication of approximately 110 SCI and 42 KCI peer-reviewed research papers and over 70 patents pending and/or registered. His research group has actively collaborated for over 15 years with foreign research groups in Czech Republic, Slovakia, etc. He served as the President of the Korean Society for Glycoscience and Glycotechnology and Vice President of The Korean Society of Mycology, and currently serves as an advisory board member for the Korea Drug Research Association.

국어 수업에서의 질문활동 양상 연구로 고려대학교에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 문화체육관광부와 국립국어원에서 학예연구사로 근무하였다. 한국독서학회 총무이사를 역임하였고, 중고등 학교 국어 교과서 개발에 참여하고 있다.

I received a doctorate from Korea University for research on the aspects of questioning activities in Korean language classes, and worked as a curator at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Institute of the Korean Language. I served as the general affairs director of the Korean Reading Association and am participating in the development of Korean language textbooks for middle and high school schools.

박정흠 교수는 1985년 서울대학교 자연과학대학 계산통계학과에서 학사 학위를 받았으며, 1987년과 1992년에 한국과학기술원(KAIST) 전산학과에서 석사와 박사 학위를 받았다. 1992년 한국과학기술원 정보전자연구소에 박사후연구원으로 입사했고, 1993~1996년에는 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI) 선임연구원으로 재직했다. 1996년 9월 가톨릭대학교 전산학과에 조교수로 부임했으며, 현재 컴퓨터정보공학부 교수로 재직 중이다. 그의 연구 관심 분야는 알고리즘 설계 및 분석, 응용 그래프 이론, 상호연결 네트워크 등이다.          

Jung-Heum Park received the B.S. degree in Computer Science and Statistics from Seoul National University in 1985, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from KAIST, Korea, in 1987 and 1992, respectively. He joined IERI, KAIST as a postdoctoral researcher in 1992. During 1993-1996, he was a senior member of research staff at the ETRI. In September 1996, he joined the Department of Computer Science at the Catholic University of Korea as an assistant professor, and currently he is a professor in the School of Computer Science and Information Engineering. His research interests include design and analysis of algorithms, applied graph theory, and interconnection networks. 

영어영문학부 조교수이다. 미국 퍼듀 대학교 (Purdue University)에서 박사학위를 받았다. 2019년부터 가톨릭대학교 영어영문학부에서 근무하고 있으며, 시대에 맞는 신규 과목을 개발, 개설하며 교육에 힘쓰고 있다.  19세기 영국문학, 여행기, 디스토피안 문학, 탈식민주의, 타자화와 재현의 문제, 에코크리티시즘, 서사와 스토리텔링 분야에 관심을 두고 연구를 진행하고 있다. 영미권 여행자들이 집필한 동아시아 여행기들을 중심으로 잊혀졌던 작품들을 재발굴하고, 이를 제국과 식민주의의 글로벌한 맥락에서 분석, 재평가하는 작업을 수행하여, 이자벨라 버드 (Isabella Bird), 루디야드 키플링 (Rudyard Kipling)의 저작에 대한 논문과 "대한매일신보"의 영국인 창립자이자 편집인이었던 어니스트 베델 (Ernest T. Bethell)에 대한 논문을 A & HCI 등재지에 게재하였다. 현재 식민지 조선을 배경으로 하는 영국 소설에 대한 논문을 작업중이다. 이와 더불어 디스토피안 문학과 젠더, 환경, 테크놀로지를 연계한 연구를 통해 영문학에 대한 논의에 깊이를 더하고자 한다. 국내 영문학회에서 정보이사, 편집이사로 활동하며 영어영문학 발전에 기여하고자 노력하고 있다. 

I acquired my PhD in English literature at Purdue University. My area of interest includes: 19th century British literature, travelogues, dystopian literature, post-colonialism, ecocriticism, and the problem of representation. I have published papers on British travelogues on East Asia, the political role Ernest T. Bethell, the British founder and editor of the Daehan Maeil Shinbo, played in reserving a rhetorical space from which Koreans could resist colonialism. I am currently working on an article on a largely forgotten British novel set in colonial Korea, analyzing the author’s genre-meshing techniques and delving into its effects. I have also published articles about dystopian novels and ecocritical literature, including the works of Richard Jefferies, Katherine Burdekin, Ken Liu, and episodes from Charles Brooker's Black Mirror series, specifically focusing on the ways in which gender, environment, and technology shape the lives of humans and our ways of thinking. 

박지혜 교수는 2024년 서울대학교에서 경영학 박사(마케팅) 학위를 받았으며, 2025년부터 가톨릭대학교 경영학과에서 마케팅 전공 교수로 재직 중이다. 주요 연구 분야는 소비자 웰빙, 서비스 마케팅, 디지털 마케팅이며, 이를 중심으로 소비자들의 태도와 판단, 의사결정에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인들과 그 기저에 있는 인지적 및 감정적 프로세스를 연구하고 있다. 관련 연구는 Psychology & Marketing 등 저명 학술지에 게재되었다. 현재 가톨릭대학교에서 마케팅과 소비자행동 과목을 강의하고 있다.

Jihye Park received her Ph.D. in Business Administration (Marketing) from Seoul National University in 2024 and has been serving as an assistant professor of marketing in the Department of Business Administration at The Catholic University of Korea since 2025. Her primary research interests include consumer well-being, services marketing, and digital marketing. Drawing on these domains, her work explores various factors that influence consumer attitudes, judgments, and decision-making, as well as the underlying cognitive and emotional processes. Her research has been published in prestigious academic journals, including Psychology & Marketing. She currently teaches Marketing and Consumer Behavior at The Catholic University of Korea.
