수질환경연구실에서는 AOP(Advanced Oxidation Process) 및 HRAS(High Rate Activated Sludge)와 같은 고도처리 기술을 활용하여 수계 내 오염물질을 제거하는 연구를 수행하고 있다. 더불어 수처리 과정에서 발생하는 슬러지를 재활용하여 경량골재를 생산하는 폐기물 자원화 연구, 공공 인프라에 잠재적으로 영향을 미칠 수 있는 리스크를 예측하고 통제하기 위한 체계적인 자산관리(Asset management) 시스템 연구, 그리고 제품 생산 전과정에서의 환경영향을 평가하는 LCA(Life Cycle Assessment) 연구를 진행 중이다.
Research on the treatment of pollutants in water systems using advanced techniques such as AOP (Advanced Oxidation Process) and HRAS (High Rate Activated Sludge) is being conducted. In terms of carbon neutrality, efforts include recycling wastewater sludge to produce lightweight aggregates, systematic asset management to predict and control risks in public infrastructure, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies to evaluate environmental impacts throughout the production process.
