성심산학협력단

일제의 식민농정사 연구로 서울대학교 대학원 국사학과에서 박사학위를 취득한 한국근대사 전문가이다. 그동안 한국 근대사 인식의 시각과 방법론을 새롭게 모색하면서 한국사회 근대화의 특성을 구명하는 데 관심을 기울여왔다. 최근에는 일제의 식민성을 보여주는 핵심지표 가운데 '민족 수탈'과 '민족차별'의 문제를 시민적(열린) 민족주의적 시각에서 객관적이고 균형있게 밝히려 노력하고 있다.  그 노력을 인정받아 2021년에 제15회 임종국상(학술부문)을 수상했다.  한편 대표적인 한국사 연구자 단체인 한국역사연구회에서 1988년 출범 이래 줄곧 활동해왔으며, 2014년에는 동 회의 회장을 역임했다.

He is a specialist in modern Korean history who obtained a doctoral degree from the Department of History at Seoul National University, focusing on the agrarian policies during the Japanese colonial period. Throughout his academic career, he has been devoted to exploring new perspectives and methodologies in understanding Korean modern history, with a particular interest in elucidating the characteristics of Korean societal modernization. Recently, he has been striving to shed light on the issues of 'national exploitation' and 'ethnic discrimination,' which are central indicators of Japanese colonialism, from a civil (open) nationalist perspective, aiming for objectivity and balance. He received the 15th Lim Jong-guk (林鍾國) Award(academic category) in 2021 in recognition of his efforts. Additionally, he has been actively involved in the Korean History Research Society, a prominent historical research organizations in Korea, since its establishment in 1988, and served as its president in 2014.

평화와 커먼즈 연구자. 동아시아의 안보분업체제와 기지반대운동 연구로 박사학위 취득하고 동아시아 각 국가와 지역에서 안보와 발전의 관계 연구하고 있다. 기후위기를 비롯한 복합위기를 극복하기 위해 커먼즈를 통한 체제전환의 가능성에 관한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 한국커먼즈네트워크, 연구자의집, 포럼 생명자유공동체, 기본소득한국네트워크 등에서 활동하고 있다. 대표 저술로 "제주 해군기지를 둘러싼 투쟁과 강정마을 공동체의 변화", "미군의 대한원조 영상 속에서 재건되는 전후 주체", "엘리너 오스트롬의 자원관리론을 넘어서", "커먼즈와 커뮤니티 관계의 역사적 변동", "한국 커먼즈론의 쟁점과 커먼즈의 정치", "이탈리아의 민법개정운동과 커먼즈 규약 그리고 커먼즈의 정치" 등이 있다.

He is a scholar of peace studies and commons studies. He completed his PhD on security division system and anti-base movements in East Asia, and his research focuses on the relationship between security and development in East Asian countries and locals. He is currently conducting research on the possibility of system change through commons initiatives to overcome complex crises, including the climate crisis. He is an active member of the Korea Commons Network, Scholar's Commons, Forum for Life, Freedom and Community, and Basic Income Korea Network. His publications include "Jeju Naval Base and the Change in Gangjeong Village," "Post-war Subjects Represented in the Post-war Reconstruction Film of the U.S. Military," "Beyond Elinor Ostrom's Resource Management Theory," "Historical Evolution of Relations between Commons and Community," "Issues of the Commons Theory in South Korea and the Politics of the Commons," and "The Italian Civil Code Amendment Movement, the Commons Regulation, and the Politics of the Commons."

발달심리학자로써 영유아에서 청년기까지 인지 및 정서의 발달과 그 관련 변인들을 연구하고 있다. 아동 기질의  특성, 영아기 애착과, 부모의 심리적 특성 및 양육 태도에 따른 정서적 유능성. 동기 그리고 사회적 유능성과 정신 건강을 연구하고 있다. 최근에는 디지털 미디어와 스마트 테크놀로지가 아동 및 청소년의 인지 정서 및 정신 건강에 미치는 영향력을 연구하고 있으며 이와 관련된 부모의 양육태도(디지털 패런팅)을  탐구하고 있다.    

My research focues on the cognitive and emotional development of individuals spanning from infancy to adolescence, along with their developmental correlates. Specifically, my focus lies in understanding the development of emotional regulation, motivation, and social  competence in children, 

정정민 교수는 University of Auckland (New Zealand)와 강원대학교에서 학사, 석/박사 학위를 받았으며, University of Michigan (USA)에서  박사후연구원으로 재직 후,  2021년 3월부터 가톨릭대학교 생명공학과에서 조교수로 재직 중에 있다. Cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) 및 Cryo-electron tomography (Cryo-ET)를 비롯한 첨단 바이오이미징 기술을 활용하여 생명체 내 주요 고분자의 구조와 기능에 대한 연구를 수행 중이다. 특히 다제내성 감염성 질환에 대한 새로운 치료제 및 백신 개발에 필요한 기초 연구를 진행 중이며, 바이오이미징 전산처리에 접목 가능한 딥러닝 알고리즘 플랫폼 개발 또한 추진 중에 있다. Biophysical Society (USA), Microscopy Society of America (USA), 한국구조생물학회(KSSB), 한국현미경학회(KSM), 한국생명공학회(KSBB), 한국생화학분자생물학회(KSBMB), 한국분자세포생물학회(KSMCB)의 정회원이며, 한국 Cryo-EM 사용자 협회(KOCUA)의 운영위원, 한국단백질과학회(KSPS)의 집행위원, 그리고 한국미생물생명공학회(KMB)의 이사회 위원으로 활동하며 한국 및 글로벌 생명공학 발전에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.

Professor Jeong Min Chung received his bachelor's and master's/Ph.D. degrees from the University of Auckland (New Zealand) and Kangwon National University. After serving as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan (USA), he has been an assistant professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the Catholic University of Korea since March 2021. He is conducting research on the structure and function of major macromolecules within living organisms using advanced bioimaging technologies, including Cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) and Cryo-electron tomography (Cryo-ET). In particular, he is working on foundational research necessary for the development of new therapeutics and vaccines for multi-drug resistant infectious diseases and is also developing a deep learning algorithm platform that can be integrated with bioimaging computational processing.
