치유공간, 노인환경디자인(특히 노인요양시설)을 주로 연구하고 있으며, 청년세대의 셀프 인테리어, 지속가능한 실내건축재료에 대해서도 탐구하고 있다. 
연세대학교 주거환경학과(현 실내건축과)에서 학사 및 석사학위를, 시카고예술대학(The School of the Art Institute of Chicago)의 Interior Architecture 학과에서 예술학 석사 학위를 받았다. 미국 Vicki Blakeman Interior Design, Inc. 에서 근무했다.  연세대학교 건축공학과에서 건축학 박사 학위를 받았다. 
미국 실내디자이너 자격(NCIDQ), 서울성모병원의 호스피스 표준 과정을 이수하였다.  호주 Eden Alternative 의 Associate member 이다. 
(사)한국주거학회 총무부회장,  (사)한국실내디자인학회 사업기획이사로 활동하고 있으며, 한국주거학회, 한국실내디자인학회의 논문편집위원이다. 

Dr. Chung  is a Professor of Spatial Design & Consumer Studies in the Catholic University of Korea. She specializes in researching healing spaces and elderly environment design, with a particular focus on Residential Aged Care. Additionally, her research explores DIY interior design among the younger generation and the use of sustainable interior construction materials for ESG. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Yonsei University's Department of Housing and Interior Design (now the Department of Interior Architecture & Built Environment) and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Interior Architecture from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She later completed her Ph.D. in Architecture at Yonsei University’s Department of Architectural Engineering.
Her professional experience includes working at Vicki Blakeman Interior Design, Inc. in the United States. She holds certification as an interior designer in the United States (NCIDQ) and has completed the Hospice Standards course. Additionally, she is an Associate Member of the Eden Alternative in Australia.
Currently, she serves as the Secretary-General of the Korean Housing Association and as a board member of the Korean Institute of Interior Design. She is also an editorial board member for both associations.

인간의 시각 인지 기능을 연구하고 있다. 현재 주요 연구 관심 주제는 시각 기억, 통계 학습, 그리고 인공지능과 인간의 상호작용이다. 하버드 대학 심리학과에서 박사 학위를 받았고, 프린스턴 대학 신경과학연구소와 존스 홉킨스 대학 심리뇌과학과에서 박사후연구원으로 근무했다. 한국뇌연구원 인지과학 연구그룹 그룹장, 충북대학교 부교수를 거쳐 현재 가톨릭대학교 심리학과 부교수로 재직 중이다. 

My research focuses on human visual cognition, with particular interests in visual memory, statistical learning, and human–AI interaction. I received my Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Harvard University and completed postdoctoral training at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Johns Hopkins University. Before joining the Catholic University of Korea, I served as the group leader of the Cognitive Science Research Group at the Korea Brain Research Institute and as an associate professor at Chungbuk National University.

산업 및 조직심리학의 전통적인 관심 주제인 인사선발과 인사평가 연구를 진행하였으며, 이후 개인 및 조직의 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 Burnout을 비롯한 직무스트레스의 원인과 진단 그리고 개입 방안에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 이러한 과정에서 직무스트레스로부터의 회복(Recovery)에 대한 연구를 지속적으로 수행하고 있으며, 개인들의 일에 대한 의미와 직무몰입, 조직몰입, 경력몰입 등을 연계해서 수행하고 있다. 또한 성격검사, 정신건강검사, 안전성향검사, 직무스트레스 검사 등 선발 및 평가를 위한 도구를 개발하고 현장에 적용하였다.

My research has centered on personnel selection and performance appraisal, which constitute traditional areas of inquiry within Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Subsequently, my focus shifted to investigating the etiology, diagnosis, and intervention strategies for job stress, including Burnout, given its detrimental impact on both individual and organizational performance outcomes. A continuous thread in this research trajectory involves the study of recovery from job stress. This is integrated with explorations into individuals' meaning of work, and its connection to various forms of commitment, specifically job engagement, organizational commitment, and career commitment. Furthermore, I have been actively involved in the development and field implementation of various selection and assessment instruments, including personality assessments, mental health inventories, safety propensity scales, and job stress diagnostic tools.

평화와 커먼즈 연구자. 동아시아의 안보분업체제와 기지반대운동 연구로 박사학위 취득하고 동아시아 각 국가와 지역에서 안보와 발전의 관계 연구하고 있다. 기후위기를 비롯한 복합위기를 극복하기 위해 커먼즈를 통한 체제전환의 가능성에 관한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 한국커먼즈네트워크, 연구자의집, 포럼 생명자유공동체, 기본소득한국네트워크 등에서 활동하고 있다. 대표 저술로 "제주 해군기지를 둘러싼 투쟁과 강정마을 공동체의 변화", "미군의 대한원조 영상 속에서 재건되는 전후 주체", "엘리너 오스트롬의 자원관리론을 넘어서", "커먼즈와 커뮤니티 관계의 역사적 변동", "한국 커먼즈론의 쟁점과 커먼즈의 정치", "이탈리아의 민법개정운동과 커먼즈 규약 그리고 커먼즈의 정치" 등이 있다.

He is a scholar of peace studies and commons studies. He completed his PhD on security division system and anti-base movements in East Asia, and his research focuses on the relationship between security and development in East Asian countries and locals. He is currently conducting research on the possibility of system change through commons initiatives to overcome complex crises, including the climate crisis. He is an active member of the Korea Commons Network, Scholar's Commons, Forum for Life, Freedom and Community, and Basic Income Korea Network. His publications include "Jeju Naval Base and the Change in Gangjeong Village," "Post-war Subjects Represented in the Post-war Reconstruction Film of the U.S. Military," "Beyond Elinor Ostrom's Resource Management Theory," "Historical Evolution of Relations between Commons and Community," "Issues of the Commons Theory in South Korea and the Politics of the Commons," and "The Italian Civil Code Amendment Movement, the Commons Regulation, and the Politics of the Commons."

발달심리학자로써 영유아에서 청년기까지 인지 및 정서의 발달과 그 관련 변인들을 연구하고 있다. 아동 기질의  특성, 영아기 애착과, 부모의 심리적 특성 및 양육 태도에 따른 정서적 유능성. 동기 그리고 사회적 유능성과 정신 건강을 연구하고 있다. 최근에는 디지털 미디어와 스마트 테크놀로지가 아동 및 청소년의 인지 정서 및 정신 건강에 미치는 영향력을 연구하고 있으며 이와 관련된 부모의 양육태도(디지털 패런팅)을  탐구하고 있다.    

My research focues on the cognitive and emotional development of individuals spanning from infancy to adolescence, along with their developmental correlates. Specifically, my focus lies in understanding the development of emotional regulation, motivation, and social  competence in children, 

정은기 교수는 가톨릭대학교 학부대학에서 재직 중이다. 대학원에서 한국 현대시를 전공했다. ‘시란 무엇인가’라는 근본적인 물음에서 출발하여 한국 근대시 형성과정에 대해 연구했고, 『한국 근대시 형성기의 「순수」 담론 고찰』이라는 논문으로 박사학위를 취득했다. 연구와 더불어 시 창작에도 꾸준한 관심을 기울여 2008년 한국일보 신춘문예 시 부문에 당선되어 등단한 이후, 연구자이자 창작자로서 이중적 시선을 견지하고 있다. 최근에는 기술적 환경 변화로 인한 예술 패러다임의 변화에 주목하며, 전통적 문학 개념의 확장 가능성에 대해 관심을 가지고 연구의 범위를 넓혀가고 있다.

Professor Eunki Jeong is currently teaching at the College of Liberal Arts at The Catholic University of Korea. He majored in modern Korean poetry in graduate school, beginning with the fundamental question, “What is poetry?” and conducted research on the formation of modern Korean poetry. He earned his Ph.D. with a dissertation titled A Study on the Discourse of “Purity” in the Formation Period of Modern Korean Poetry. Alongside his academic work, he has also maintained a strong interest in poetic creation. He made his literary debut in 2008 when he won the New Year’s Literary Contest in the poetry category hosted by The Korea Times. Since then, he has maintained a dual perspective as both a scholar and a poet. Recently, he has focused on how changes in the technological environment are transforming artistic paradigms, and he is expanding the scope of his research to explore the possibilities of broadening the traditional concept of literature.
