최성욱 교수는 제약, 의료, 및 바이오 산업에 활용되는 다양한 생체재료 및 고분자 소재에 대한 연구를 수행하고 있다. 골다공증 치료제, 항암치료 전달시스템, 3차원 프린팅, 조직공학, 재생의학, 기능성 화장품 소재, 지질나노입자, 백신용 mRNA 및 폴리펩타이드 생체분자 합성, 의약품 연속합성 공정 등의 연구를 수행하여 다수의 논문 및 특허 실적을 보유하고 있다.  특히, 다수의 화학 소재, 의료기기, 제약, 및 화장품 기업과의 공동 연구를 수행하여 기술이전 및 사업화를 추진하였다. 최근에는 미세유체기술을 이용한 백신용 지질나노입자, 나노/마이크로입자, 의약품 및 생체분자 연속합성 등의 연구에 주력하고 있다. 

Professor Sung-Wook Choi is conducting research on various biomaterials and polymer materials used in the pharmaceutical, medical, and bio industries. We have conducted research on osteoporosis treatments, anticancer treatment delivery systems, 3D printing, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, functional cosmetics materials, lipid nanoparticles, mRNA and polypeptide biomolecule synthesis for vaccines, and continuous pharmaceutical synthesis processes, and have published numerous papers and We have patent achievements. In particular, we promoted technology transfer and commercialization by conducting joint research with a number of chemical materials, medical device, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics companies. Recently, we have been focusing on research on lipid nanoparticles for vaccines, nano/micro particles, and continuous synthesis of pharmaceuticals and biomolecules using microfluidic technology.

대한민국에서 대학을 졸업하고, 미국, 일본, 중국 등지에서 오랜 기간 수학했다. 정치학 박사이고, 국제정치경제가 전공분야이다. 국제정치를 40년 정도 연구했으며, 나름의 학문 세계를 구축하기 위해 노력했다. 분리의 시대에 통합을 이야기했고, 분열의 시대에 화합을 주장했으며, 요즘 좌우 대립의 시대에는 상하(上下, 하늘과 인간)를 살필 것을 제안하고 있다. <한국국제정치학회>의 제60대 회장(2016)과 학회지 『국제정치논총』의 편집위원장(2021-2023)을 역임하였다. 2003년부터 가톨릭대학교 국제학부 교수로 재직하고 있다. 국제교류처장을 지냈으며, 현재는 국제학부장을 맡고 있다. 개인적인 저서로는 『동아시아 지역통합과 한국의 선택』(고려대학교 아연출판부, 2003), 『글로벌 한국의 신외교전략』(도서출판 오름, 2008), 『동아시아의 전략적 지역주의: 중-일 경쟁과 중견국가의 역할』(고려대학교 아연출판부, 2016), 『혼돈의 글로벌시대, 공동체주의를 말하다』(가톨릭대학교출판부, 2022), 『신을 만난 이후에: 누미노제 정치와 공동체 변혁』(가톨릭대출판부, 2024 예정)가 있다.

Young Jong Choi is a professor at the Catholic University of Korea. He received Ph D in political science at the University of Washington (Seattle). He served as the president of the Korean Association of International Studies (KAIS) in 2016. He has written extensively on East Asian regionalism and South Korea’s foreign policy.

아동, 청소년, 성인, 노인에 이르는 발달과정에서 경험하는 정서행동문제와 발달정신병리에 원인이 되는 요인인 기질, 성격, 양육태도에 대한 연구를 주로 하고 있으며, 심리치료와 관련하여 마음챙김, 인지행동치료, 디지털치료제에 대해서도 연구하고 있다. 서울시아동청소년정신건강시설 동작아이존에서 시설장으로 근무하다가, 서울사이버대학교 상담심리학과 교수, 경일대학교 심리치료학과 교수로 재직하였으며, 2014년 본교 심리학과 교수로 임용되었다. 2019-20년 한국발달심리학회 학술위원장, 2021-22년 한국 발달심리학회 교육위원장, 2023-24년 한국발달심리학회 편집위원장, 2022년 한국심리학회 총무이사를 역임하였으며, 서울아동복지시설, 아동보호전문기관, 서울시아동청소년정신건강기관들의 자문위원으로 활동하고 있다. 저서로는 발달정신병리학, 발달정신병리 사례집, 성인 및 노인심리학, 놀이치료, 아동청소년 이상심리학, 복합 PTSD 워크북, 청소년을 위한 마음챙김 기술 등이 있으며, 심리검사로는 BFI 성격검사와 STS 6요인 기질검사 등을 개발하였다. 

I primarily focus on researching the factors that contribute to emotional and behavioral problems as well as developmental psychopathology experienced during the developmental process from childhood to old age. These factors include temperament, personality, and parenting styles. Additionally, I conduct research on mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and digital therapeutic interventions in relation to psychotherapy. I worked as a facility manager at Dongjak Izone, a mental health facility for children in Seoul, and then as a professor of counseling psychology at Seoul Cyber University and psychotherapy at Kyungil University. In 2014, I was appointed as a professor of psychology at the current institution. I served as the Chairman of the Korean Association of Developmental Psychology from 2019 to 2020 term, the Education Director from 2021 to 2022, and the Editorial Director from 2023 to 2024. I also held the position of General Affairs Director for the Korean Psychological Association in 2022. Furthermore, I am actively involved as an advisory board member for child welfare facilities, child protection agencies, and child and adolescent mental health institutions in Seoul. My publications include Developmental Psychopathology, A Casebook on Developmental Psychopathology, Adult and Geriatric Psychology, Play Therapy, Abnormal Psychology in Children and Adolescents so on.

내러티브(다매체)와 문학 기반의 리터러시 교육에 대해 주로  연구하고 있다. 특히, 독자의 특성을 고려한 개별화 교육과정과 담론 기반 매체 교육,  글쓰기 교육에 관심을 가지고 연구를 지속하였다.  독서를 통한 심리사회 정서 지원에 대한 연구도 진행하고 있다.  1997년 "현대소설의 담론 생산 방법"이란 제목으로 문학적 글쓰기 교육 관련 주제로 박사 학위를 받았으며, 서울대 국어교육 연구소에서 매체 교육, 글쓰기 교육 전임 연구원을 수행한 바 있다. 2002년 신라대 국어교육과에서 문학교육, 매체 교육 등을 중심으로 교육하면서 현재까지 총 100여편의 논문을 국내 전문 학술지에 발표하였다. 한국독서학회와 한국독서치료학회 회장을 역임하였다. 

I mainly study narrative (multimedia) and literature-based literacy education. In particular, I am interested in individualised curriculum that considers the characteristics of readers, discourse-based media education, and writing education. I has also conducted research on psychosocial emotional support through reading. I received her PhD in 1997 on the topic of literary writing education with the title "Discourse Production Methods in Contemporary Novels" and worked as a full-time researcher in media education and writing education at the Institute of Korean Language Education, Seoul National University. Since 2002, I have been teaching at the Department of Korean Language Education at Silla University, focusing on literature education and media education, and has published more than 100 papers in domestic journals. I have served as president of the Korean Reading Association and the Korean Reading Therapy Association. 

교육학 분야 중에서 가톨릭교육학과 교육행정학 분야에서 교육 활동과 연구 활동을 하고 있다. 주된 연구 분야는 교육행정,  학교행정, 대학교육, 가톨릭교육, 가톨릭교육과정개발, 종교교육, 교사교육이며, 다수의 교육학 관련 학회에 참여하고 있다. 2003년 Catholic University of America(Washiongton, DC, USA)에서 '대학의 국제화' 분야로 박사학위를 취득했다. 한국종교교육학회 회장(2015~2017)과 한국영성문화학회 회장(2009-2012)을 역임하였으며, 10여권의 저서와 다수의 논문을 저술하였다. 현재 진행 중인 연구로는 가톨릭계 대학의 효과성 연구, 가톨릭 학교의 공동체성 연구, 사립학교법과 정책 연구, 대안교육 연구이다.

His teaching and research activities are in the fields of Catholic education and educational administration. His research interests include educational administration, school administration, higher education, Catholic education, Catholic curriculum development, religious education, and teacher education. She received her Ph.D. in 2003 from the Catholic University of America (Washiongton, DC, USA) in the field of 'Internationalization of Universities'. She served as president of the Korean Society for Religious Education (2015-2017) and the Korean Society for Spirituality and Culture (2009-2012), and is the author of more than 10 books and numerous articles. His current research interests include the effectiveness of Catholic universities, teacher perceptions of religious education in Ireland and Korea, and community in Catholic schools. 

최진성 교수는 가톨릭대학교 약학대학 약학과 교수이다. 가톨릭대학교 의과대학 생리학교실에서 박사학위를 받았고 Cornell University에서 Postdoctoral Associate를 2년 마친 후 Yale University School of Medicine의 Dept. of Neurology 소속으로 Center for Neuroscience and Regeneration Research에서 Associate Research Scientist로서 Dr. Stephen Waxman과 함께 말초신경계에서 일어나는 여러가지 통증질환의 원인 및 기전을 연구하였다. Yale에 있는 동안 다양한 통증환자로부터 분리한 유전자를 분석하여 나트륨 통로 중 하나인 Nav1.7의 돌연변이들이 어떻게 통증을 일으키는지 그 기전을 처음으로 밝혀 Nature Reviews Neurology, Brain, Annals of Neurology, Molecular Pain등의 저명학술지에 다수의 논문을 발표하였으며, 가톨릭대학교 약학과로  온 이후에도 Yale대와 함께 염증성 통증의 기전과 진통제 개발을 위한 다양한 연구를 함께하고 있다. 최근에는 신약의 필수 비임상시험인 심독성을 검사하기위해 iPSC유래 심근세포를 이용한 연구를 서울성모병원 심장내과 연구진과 함께하고 있으며, AI 기술을 접목시키기위한 computer modeling을 연구하고 있다.

Dr. Jin Sung Choi is a professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy, Catholic University of Korea. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Physiology at the College of Medicine, Catholic University of Korea, and after completing two years as a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University, he worked as an Associate Research Scientist at the Center for Neuroscience and Regeneration Research, affiliated with the Dept. of Neurology at Yale University School of Medicine, alongside Dr. Stephen Waxman. During his time at Yale, he researched the causes and mechanisms of various pain disorders in the peripheral nervous system. He was the first to analyze genes isolated from various pain patients and elucidate the mechanisms by which mutations in one of the sodium channels, Nav1.7, cause pain. His findings were published in prestigious academic journals, including Nature Reviews Neurology, Brain, Annals of Neurology, and Molecular Pain. Since joining the Department of Pharmacy at Catholic University, he has continued to collaborate with Yale on various research projects related to the mechanisms of inflammatory pain and the development of analgesics. Recently, he is conducting research using iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes to test cardiotoxicity, a mandatory non-clinical trial of new drugs, and is researching computer modeling to incorporate AI technology.
