한국식품연구원, 조지아주립대학교에서 박사후 연수과정을 거쳤고  식품영양학과  교수로 재직 중이다.  식품 성분의  항비만, 당뇨 개선 기능성과 그 기전이 관심분야로  특히 비만에서의 염증반응과 인슐린 저항성과 관련하여 연구하고 있다.  다수의 학술서적을 저술하였고 학회 활동을 통해 나트륨 저감화 및 노인복지시설 급식관리 등의 지역사회 건강증진을 위한 사업을 수행하였다. 이러한 공로로 과학기술정보통신부 장관표창을 수상했고 한국영양학회와 대한지역사회영양학회 이사, 한국인 영양소섭취기준 개정위원회의 중심위원을 역임했으며  Nutrition Research & Practice의 편집위원으로 활동 중이다. 

김혜령 교수는 2020년 9월부터 가톨릭대학 조교수로 재직중이다. 주요 연구 분야는 헬스 커뮤니티, 의료경영혁신, 디자인씽킹과 인공지능 기반 사회혁신 교육이며, 정량 및 정성 조사를 통합한 혼합연구를 진행하고 있다. 현재 한국디자인학회 이사로 활동중이다.

Hyeryoung Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Science at the Catholic University of Korea. Her primary research areas include healthcare communities, healthcare management innovation, and design thinking and AI-based social innovation education. She conducts mixed-method research that integrates both quantitative and qualitative investigations. 

외국어 교육 전공 관련 연구 및 교육에 임하고 있으며 영어 교육 외에 통역/번역 교육 관련 연구도 수행하고 있음.

Research and teaching focus lies in foreign language education. Special interests in teaching English as a foreign language as well as translation education.

가톨릭대학교 성신교정 학사과정과 대학원과정을 마치고, 1999년 서울대교구에서 사제서품을 받았다. 이후 중곡동 성당 보좌신부로 3년, 교구장대리 비서로 1년간 재직하였다. 2004년 로마 라테란대학에 입학하여 2007년 교회법 석사학위(J.C.L.)를, 2009년 교회법 박사학위(J.C.D.)를 취득하였다. 박사학위 논문 제목은 '한국교회의 연대 책임 사목'(L'affidamento della parrocchia in solidum nella Chiesa Coreana)이다. 2018년부터 2024년 현재 가톨릭대학교 성심교정 교회법대학원 교수로 활동 중이다. 

After completing undergraduate and graduate studies at the Catholic University of Korea, I received the priesthood in the Seoul Diocese in 1999. Following this, I served as an assistant priest at Junggok-dong Parish for three years and as a secretary for the Episcopal vicar for one year. In 2004, I enrolled at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome and obtained a Mater's degree in Canon Law(J.C.L.) in 2007 and a Doctorate in Canon Law(J.C.D.) in 2009. The tile of my doctoral dissertation in 'The Solidarity Responsibility of the Church in Korea'(L'affidamento della parrocchia in solidum nella Chiesa Coreana). Curruntly, from 2018 to 2024, I am serving as a professor at the Institute of Canon Law at the Catholic University of Korea.

 생체재료 (Biomaterials) 및 약물전달 시스템 (Drug delivery system)에 관한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 다양한 형태의 나노 의약품을 개발하여 질병 진단 및 치료에 적용하는 나노 의학 (Nanomedicine)을 바탕으로, 광역학 치료 (Photodynamic therapy), 항암면역치료 (Cancer immunotherapy), 유전자 치료 (genetherapy), 자기공명 영상 (MRI) 및 컴퓨터 단층촬영(CT) 조영제 개발 그리고 스텐트 (stent)를 비롯한 생체의료 기기에 관한 연구도 활발히 진행하고 있다. 국내외 유수한 연구실과 공동연구를 수행하였으며 현재까지 260여편의 논문과 70여개의 등록특허를 보유하고 있다.  2024년 3월 현재 석사과정 10명, 박사과정 13명, 박사 후 연구원 2명과 함께 생체의료용나노소재 연구실 (Nano Biomedical polymer Research lab, NBR) 을 운영하고 있으며 47명의 졸업생을 배출하였다. 2021년 가톨릭대학교 특훈교수 (Distinguished Professor) 로 임명되었으며 현재 한국생체재료공학회(KSBM) 회장,  세계생체재료학회 총연합회 (IUSBSE)의 석학 펠로우(FBSE), 가톨릭대학교 교학부총장을 역임 하고있다. 

 Kun Na, a distinguished professor at The Catholic University of Korea, is a South Korean chemist specializing in the Biomaterials and Drug Delivery Systems.  
His area focuses on Nanomedicine, applying various types for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. These include Photodynamic therapy (PDT), Cancer immunotherapy, Gene therapy, MRI and CT contrast agent, and Biomedical device such as stent.
Professor Na currently leads the Nano Biomedical polymer Research lab (NBR) with 10 master’s student, 13 doctoral students, and 2 post-doctoral researchers, totaling 25 members. As of March 2024, he has mentored more than 60 students, including 47 graduated students, significantly contributing to the field. 
He has collaboratively conducted research with numerous esteemed laboratories both domestically and internationally, resulting in the publication of over 260 scientific papers and hold 70 patents and patent applications with or without various excellent domestic and international laboratory.
In 2021, he was honored as a Distinguished professor at The Catholic university of Korea, where he also serves as Vice President. Also, he holds prestigious positions as the president of the Korean Society for Biomaterials and as a fellow of the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials and Engineering (IUSBSE), showcasing his esteemed status in the global biomaterials community.

남재환 교수는 고려대학교 생물학과에서 학사, 석사, 박사 과정을 졸업하였고 미국 NIH에서 교환연구원 및 Visiting Fellow로 근무하였음. 이후 국립보건연구원 (現 질병관리청) 에서 보건연구관으로 근무하였으며 2005년부터 현재까지 가톨릭대학교 교수로써 근무하고 있음. 1997년부터 현재까지 미국바이러스학회 정회원이며 2011년부터 현재까지 International Journal of Obesity의 Editorial Board로 활동하고 있으며 2024년 현재 대한바이러스학회 차기회장직을 겸하고 있음. 주요 관심사로는 RNA를 면역증강제로 활용한 바이러스 백신 개발을 진행하고 있음. 또한 현재 차세대 백신 플랫폼으로써 떠오르고 있는 mRNA vaccine과 관련된 다양한 연구를 진행하고 있으며 다양한 바이러스 백신 및 암 백신 개발, mRNA 전달용 지질 전달체 개발, mRNA 백신의 면역 효과와 부작용 기전 연구 등을 수행하고 있음. 여러 편의 mRNA 관련 논문을 출판하였으며 특히 국내에서는 최초로 mRNA를 활용한 면역 항암 치료제 연구 성과를 논문으로 출판하였음. 이상의 활동을 통해 국내에서 mRNA 분야의 연구 인프라 구축과 투자 확대에 기여하고 있음.

Professor Nam Jaehwan is a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Science at the Catholic University of Korea. He earned his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from Korea University's Department of Biology and worked at the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) as an exchange researcher and visiting fellow. Subsequently, he served as a health researcher at the National Institute of Health (now the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency) before joining the Catholic University of Korea as a professor in 2005. Since 1997, he has been a regular member of the American Society for Virology and has served on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Obesity since 2011. As of 2024, he also holds the position of the next president of the Korean Society for Virology. His primary research focuses on developing virus vaccines using RNA as an immune enhancer. He is also actively involved in various studies related to mRNA vaccines, including their immune effects, side effects, and delivery mechanisms. Professor Nam has published numerous papers on mRNA-related topics and notably pioneered research on immune anti-cancer therapy using mRNA in Korea. Through his work, he contributes to expanding research infrastructure and investment in the mRNA field domestically.
