HZO 기반 고성능 저전력 반도체 디바이스 개발, ALD를 이용한 게이트 절연막 증착  연구, 2D 물질 소자에서 저주파 노이즈 분석 및 모델링, 차세대 전력 반도체 디바이스 (SiC, GaN, β-Ga2O3) 연구등을 주로 하고 있다. 그리고 차세대 나노소자를 이용한 뉴로모픽 소자연구를 진행하고 있다. 2019년 미국 Purdue University (West Lafayette)에서 2D 물질을 이용한 소자 개발 및 저주파 노이즈의 메커니즘 분석에 대한 연구로 박사학위를 받았다. 학위 과정 동안, 미국 Sandia National Lab, NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center)에서 방문 연구원으로 일했고, 2020년 2월부터 2023년 2월까지 삼성전자 반도체 연구소 DRAM TD팀에서 책임연구원으로 소자개발을 했다. 담당 업무들은 10nm, 14nm DRAM 개발, NC-FETs 연구, DDR5, GDDR6, LP5 (High-k를 이용) 양산 개발 참여, 그리고 소자 신뢰성 측정 및 분석, 모델링을 진행했다.
2023년 3월부터 가톨릭대학교 정보통신전자공학부에서 차세대 나노소자 연구실을 운영해 오고 있다.

Prof. Jiseok Kwon's research group primarily focuses on the development of high-performance, low-power semiconductor devices based on HZO, gate insulating film deposition technology using ALD, low-frequency noise analysis and modeling using 2D materials, and next-generation power semiconductor devices based on β-Ga2O3.
Recently, we are conducting research on optimization of OPC process using deep learning with Purdue University (U.S.A.).
Prof. Kwon received his Ph.D. in 2019 from Purdue University (West Lafayette, USA), where he conducted research on device development using 2D materials and the analysis of low-frequency noise mechanisms. He has worked as a visiting researcher at Sandia National Laboratories, NIST, and SLAC in the United States.
From February 2020 to February 2023, he worked as a principal researcher at Samsung Electronics Semiconductor R&D Center, DRAM TD team. His responsibilities included developing 10nm and 14nm DRAM, researching NC-FETs, participating in the mass production development of DDR5, GDDR6, and LP5 (utilizing High-k), and conducting reliability measurements, analysis, and modeling of devices.
Since March 2023, Prof. Kwon has been leading the Advanced Nano Device Laboratory in the Department of Information, Communication, and Electronic Engineering at The Catholic University of Korea.

한국 고대사를 전공하였고 주된 관심 주제는 역사의 공간적 이해, 그리고 역사 인식에 대한 문제이다. 2017년 서울대학교 국사학과에서 '고구려 왕도(王都) 연구'로 박사 학위를 받았고, 고대의 왕도·도성의 구조와 형태에 대한 연구를 다수 수행하였으며, 광개토왕비문을 비롯해 다양한 고구려 문자 자료들에 대한 판독과 해석 작업을 진행하였다. 역사 지식의 사회적 공유와 확산에 관심을 가지고 있어, 역사 팟캐스트 활동을 비롯하여 다수의 대중 강연과 방송 출연 등을 한 바 있다. 또한 한국 사회의  굴절된 역사 인식인 '쇼비니즘 사이비 역사' 문제에 주의를 기울이며 지속적인 비판 작업을 하고 있다.  한국고대사학회의 경인지역 이사직을 맡고 있으며, 고구려발해학회의 섭외이사 겸 편집위원이다.

He specializes in ancient Korean history and his main research interests include the spatial understanding of history and questions of historical perception. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Korean History at Seoul National University in 2017 with a thesis titled "Study of Goguryeo's  Royal Capital," and has conducted numerous studies on the structure and form of ancient royal capital, as well as deciphering and interpretations of various Goguryeo texts, including the King Gwanggaeto's Monument. He is interested in the social sharing and diffusion of historical knowledge, and has given numerous public lectures and broadcast appearances, including a history podcast. He also continues to critique the issue of chauvinistic pseudohistory, the distorted perception of history in Korean society.

V.G. Girish  earned his MSc and PhD from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, India, and MBA from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. His research interest is on topics related to technology, tourism, sports, management, and education. His research is published in International Journal of Hospitality Management, Current Issues in Tourism, International Journal of Computer-Human Interaction, and other outlets.

V.G. Girish  earned his MSc and PhD from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, India, and MBA from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. His research interest is on topics related to technology, tourism, sports, management, and education. His research is published in International Journal of Hospitality Management, Current Issues in Tourism, International Journal of Computer-Human Interaction, and other outlets.

● 김강민 교수는 데이터 인공지능 및 자연어처리 분야에서 우수 연구 성과들 WWW, ACL, EMNLP, EACL, IEEE IC, JMIR 등 최우수/우수 국제 학술대회, IEEE 매거진 등 우수국제학술지에 총 25편 이상(주저자 10편 이상)의 논문을 발표하고 있음.
● 인공지능 분야 최우수 국제학술대회인 AAAI, ACL, NAACL, EMNLP에서 프로그램 위원회 위원을 역임하고 있음 (2020~현재)
● 자연어처리 및 멀티모달 인공지능 분야 연구를 진행하면서 성과를 인정받아 한국정보과학회 초청논문 발표를 진행했으며, NAVER Ph.D Fellowship을 수상했음 (2020).
● 한국연구재단이 주관하는‘우수 신진연구자 지원사업’과‘최초혁신실험실 사업’에 선정되어‘자기지도학습을 활용한 전자의무기록 기반 급성 질환 예측 시스템’의 연구책임자로서 연구를 수행하고 있음 (2022~현재).
● 국내 키오스크 IT 선도기업인 비버웍스의 겸직 연구원으로 활동하면서 시각장애인을 위한 인공지능 모델 기반 요식업 키오스크용 음성 인식 대화형 인터페이스를 개발 (2022~현재)하며 산업계와 실전적 연구를 수행함.
● 한국건설기술연구원과 초거대 언어모델 기반 건설기준 분석시스템을 개발 (2023)했고, 대검찰청과 초거대 언어모델을 활용한 검찰 사건처리업무 보조기술을 개발 (2023)하는 등 국민에게 효용성 있는 인공지능을 개발함.

● Professor Kim Kangmin has achieved outstanding research outcomes in the fields of data artificial intelligence and natural language processing. He has presented over 25 papers, including those published in top-tier international conferences such as WWW, ACL, EMNLP, EACL, and distinguished international journals like IEEE Internet Computing and JMIR.

● In the field of artificial intelligence, he has been serving as a committee member for program committees at AAAI, ACL, NAACL, and EMNLP, which are among the most prestigious international academic conferences, since 2020.

● Recognized for his accomplishments in research on natural language processing and multimodal artificial intelligence, Professor Kim has been invited to present papers at the KCC and was awarded the NAVER Ph.D Fellowship in 2020.

● Selected for the 'Outstanding Young Researcher Project' and the 'First Innovation Experiment Laboratory Project' organized by the Korea Research Foundation, he currently serves as the principal investigator for the research project titled 'EMR-based acute disease prediction system utilizing self-supervised learning' (from 2022 to the present).

고기능성 생체 신소재의 설계와 개발을 통해 암, 당뇨병, 자가면역질환 등 다양한 난치성 질환의 치료를 위한 새로운 치료 전략을 모색하고 있습니다. 이를 위해 다양한 고분자와 세포를 화학적으로 변형하여 이들의 생체적합성, 생분해성, 치료제 전달 능력을 향상시키고, 생체 환경에 적응하는 스마트 소재를 설계합니다. 이러한 소재는 약물 전달과 조직 재생을 촉진하여 환자 맞춤형 치료에 기여할 수 있습니다. 본 연구는 화학, 생물학, 약학, 공학을 융합한 다학제적 접근으로 차세대 치료법 개발을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

We are seeking new therapeutic strategies for treating various intractable diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases by designing and developing high-functional biomaterials. To this end, we chemically modify various polymers and cells to improve their biocompatibility, biodegradability, and therapeutic agent delivery capabilities and design smart materials that adapt to the biological environment. These materials can contribute to patient-tailored treatment by promoting drug delivery and tissue regeneration. This research aims to develop next-generation treatments through a multidisciplinary approach that combines chemistry, biology, pharmacy, and engineering.

이화여자대학교 교육학과에서 박사학위를 받았으며 현재 대학원 교육학과에서 강의를 하고 있다.  교사교육, 교육프로그램 개발, 대학 교수학습 연구, 종교교육, 가톨릭교육 분야에서 연구 활동을 수행하고 있다. 

Graduated from Ewha Womans University Graduate School of Education and received a Ph.D. Currently teaching at the Graduate School of Education. Main research areas include teacher education, educational program development, university education research, and Catholic education.
